Thanksgiving

In 2011 we decided that with the dire needs in the county it would be better to donate funds to Chester County Food Bank rather than make baskets. The funds can be better directed to the needs of the community. A $500 check was sent to the Food Bank.

Twenty-seven Thanksgiving Baskets were assembled for distribution through three local agencies. The baskets included nonperishable items plus gift cards to purchase a turkey.

We have a vision of a church without barriers; barriers that keep the congregation from reaching out into the community. After all Jesus told His disciples to go and make disciples. However that isn't what is happening in America today at least on a large scale.
